At Team 7587, we take safety very seriously. Our robotics team consists of hands-on activities. Therefore, we have to work with tools and equipment that are potentially dangerous. Safety in the woodworking lab is our #1 priority for students, mentors, and parents. The below list of rules has been developed to ensure a safe robotics workspace.

Safety Equipment

These are some of the essential personal safety equipment that all members must use:

​

  • Safety goggles

  • Industrial gloves (except when handling machines)

  • Masks (optional)

  • Hair ties, if members have longer hair

​

Our lab is equipped with:

​

  • Fire Extinguishers 

  • First Aid Kits

  • Battery Spill Kit

  • Baking Soda

  • Eyewash Fountain
