Metuchen Momentum is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on fostering STEM for students in Metuchen. We have teams in Metuchen High School and Edgar Middle school. We cover FIRST Lego League (FLL), FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) and FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC).
Our teams include many students and mentors of different backgrounds and abilities. One of our missions is to create a welcoming and stimulating environment, where anyone can cultivate their interests in STEM. Our FRC team is made up of 27 Metuchen High School students from all four grade levels (9th-12th grade) and 10 mentors from many different fields.
On our FRC team, our five sub-teams include mechanical, electrical, computer-aided design (CAD), programming, safety, and business. Every member of our team has the opportunity to join multiple sub-teams, and with the aid of our knowledgeable mentors, can further develop their understanding and curiosity for robotics.
Above all, here at Metuchen Momentum, our main priority is teamwork and exhibiting Gracious Professionalism®. Team 7587 strives to create and maintain a safe environment for anyone to discover their passion for robotics.
